For over 10 years, Texas A&M University Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC) has hosted the Interoperability Institute. The focus has remained on issues at the forefront of communications between first responders and across response agencies.
Thought leaders gather for workshops to discuss problems, current solutions being considered, and a path forward for the following year. The event also includes full scale exercises, putting new technology into the hands of first responders for demonstration, evaluation and validation.
The themes to be addressed each year are determined by the institute steering committee 6 months prior to the event. Stay tuned for an announcement coming soon regarding the themes for Interop ’23!
