Winter Institute 2020 Workshop
Location: Building 137 at Disaster City
Now that FirstNet is here and NG 9-1-1 is coming we need to develop tools that ensure success. The Winter Institute exercise and workshop have been designed to do just that. The workshop will enable state leaders to host exercises in their home states that allow first responders to “teach, learn and experience.” The focuses of this year’s exercise are interjurisdictional messaging and collaboration, information sharing, NG 911 to FirstNet interoperability, imbedding ITSL training into exercises and Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM).

The Art of the Possible
The Winter Institute Exercise is an opportunity for first responders to work with experts and experience next generation technology including NG911 and FirstNet. Following a day and half of exercises set around an earthquake scenario at Disaster City, first responders will be asked for feedback on services and applications. This feedback is will help ensure that government and industry leaders have the insight required to develop and implement future networks.
